Jo Patterson

Programme Supervisor

As an experienced primary school teacher and over 8 years assisting in the establishment and delivery of the successful ‘Big Brothers Big Sisters youth mentoring programme, Jo’s passion to break the cycle of maladaptive parenting led her to researching different international programmes which could be incorporated in Taranaki.

This research led her to the New Zealand Early Start programme in Christchurch  The program has been fully evaluated showing good outcomes for both Maori and non Maori. Jo's interest in neuroscience and the importance of a Childs first 1000 days, has led her to be fundamental in the establishment of Nurture Taranaki. Jo has raised 4 happy children and is committed to helping others on their parenting journey.
